Stephanie Marie Aguilera-Cueto is an AI Solutions Engineer in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where she works in the Diagnostics Intelligence Group with Dr. Sandeep Bodduluri. She builds AI systems that turn medical images into quantitative, decision-ready information. In multicenter CT cohorts, she benchmarks foundation-model embeddings against radiomics and integrates imaging with omics to characterize COPD phenotypes and predict outcomes. She designs agentic workflows and automated pipelines that carry thousands of scans from segmentation to modeling, and she evaluates multi-agent systems across models and agent harnesses. Her imaging AI work extends to anesthesiology, neuroradiology, and forensic pathology, and, as a Genmab intern, to ovarian cancer biomarker discovery in the pharmaceutical industry.
